The English photographer Ben Wood started his career at the age of twenty-one following in the footsteps of both his grandfather and great-grandfather who ran portrait studios in Baker Street in London. Ben Wood is best known for his signature black and white marine work and his landscape book “The Island”. Ben Wood now has an impressive selection of work encompassing: classic motor-racing, shells, beach-life and his new award winning polo series.
Ben Wood is based at his studio in Bembridge on the Isle of White. Ben Wood takes huge risks to achieve his unique compositions often photographing from micro-lights and power boats. For his latest sailing series Yacht Hispania he photographed from another yacht during a force six gale. Ben Wood exhibits widely and has recently shown his polo show Equus at Gallery 54 in Mayair London and the Apremont Polo Club in Paris France.
