Designed by Marcelo Lucini, Airedelsur is a handsome collection of serveware and accessories including trays, candlesticks, champagne buckets and frames. Marcelo works with artisans in his native Argentina, who use indigenous materials and timeless craft techniques. Many of the pieces are made of a metal called Alpaca, which is an alloy of nickel silver, copper and zinc. It is foodsafe. The horn and bone handles on the pieces are from cow, sheep, goat, or deer, and are naturally shed. The onyx is locally quarried and honed. Marcelo Lucini lives in Buenos Aires. Airedelsur has been featured in Oprah's O at Home Magazine, Vogue, InStyle, New York Magazine, Cargo and Town & Country. The care instructions are simple: wash with soap and warm water and polish with copper polish as needed. Hagerty 100 is the metal polish recommended by Airedelsur. Alpaca does not tarnish as easily as silver or silver plate, but it will benefit from a polish from time to time.
